I'm a middle aged mother and grandmother, I want to make use of every day and learn something new each and every day! Life is precious! I started dabbling at quilting but never really completed one until after I had a brain tumour removed and needed a project to keep my mind busy!
Today I decided to make some batik Easter eggs for the dining room table. I got the pattern and tutorial from http://retro-mama.blogspot.com/ I enjoy reading different blogs and I find lots of patterns, there are so many crafty people!
When the days become warmer and the sun is shinning, the ice on the lake is starting to break up...it sure is easy to forget the winter we had!
I've worked all winter on "The Joys of Winter" quilt and I need a break away from it. I worked on the joining blocks two days and I'm having difficulties piecing them together properly. So, I'm talking a break from it. I think I'll work on a few small projects that I've saved from other Blog Spots. There are so MANY good and talented quilters on the blogs, I wonder if I will ever get to that point with my quilting! Have a great day everybody!
Well, for sure I found these blocks a challenge! To get all the points correctly lined up was difficult, I'm glad I have a seam ripper! Now to try "Flying Geese." There are a variety of different blocks to be made in order to piece all the blocks together to make the final quilt.
