Finally dug out!

I've been awhile getting the snow removed from the two decks and from in front of the garage! I'm done for the day. My house is for sale with a realtor because I want to move to town. I sometimes am torn whether to move or not...well ask me now how I feel about that! Each storm this winter I would dread going out to clear the snow, but I would also give thanks that I'm here this winter to do so. I would thank God, grab the shovel and get to work...BUT if you're reading this God, ENOUGH already!!

Time to make a quilt!

When I was vacationing last year my daughter took me to a quilt store called "The Cherry Pit" in Sevierville, TN. It's a lovely shop, very quaint and the owner, Jane is very helpful. The quilting displayed throughout the store was amazing! My daughter loved this pattern, I purchased the entire BOM so I could make it for her. It looks to me like a real challenge but I'm going to attempt making it! It's called "Joys of Winter" by Lynda Howell.

After the Storm

It's sunny!! On the down side of things, we have a lot of snow and it's COLD! Both decks had snow half way up the doors and I had to shovel to get out. The snow has drifted half way up the sash on my front window. Our winter started out so mild but February has made up for the lack of snow in January. I sure hope this is the last major storm.

Sunset on Grand Lake.

This photo was taken last summer from my beach. Grand Lake is very beautiful~can you tell I'm wishing for spring?

First finished quilt.

I found the pattern for a schnauzer online and decided to make my nephew a quilt. I added a few facial expressions. It's youth bed size and should last him awhile, he is only one year old. It's the first quilt that I finished. Now to my other unfinished projects!

I wonder where the mailbox is?

It's snowing again!!

The weather report is saying 30-35cm of snow today and overnight. Enough already!!
